Who We Are
The Nevada Bicycle Club (NBC) is a group of individuals joined together by their shared passion for cycling and a desire for helping others. The club provides an environment in which cyclists of all ages and abilities can enjoy the sport and meet other cyclists.
Our Mission
The mission of the Nevada Bicycle Club is to raise awareness of road biking in our community and to promote cycling as a healthy alternative lifestyle for both recreation and transportation.
Our History
Founded in 2014, the club began from a core group of friends who were riding regularly. From these social rides, more and more enthusiastic individuals were drawn to the spirit of fun and camaraderie of the group that the core members decided it was time to organize and to give the group its identity.
Membership
Today, the club has over 75 members who meet and ride throughout the year. Club membership is open to men and women who enjoy riding with cyclists of different skill levels and experience, love the challenge of riding with varying distances, climbing heights, and rides that celebrate the beauty the Las Vegas Valley and its environment.
Community Outreach
NBC members have been actively participating in numerous charity fun rides throughout the Las Vegas valley such as the Las Vegas Honor Ride, Goldilocks Rides, 3 Feet for Pete and Tour de Summerlin to name a few. In 2017, NBC hosted the “Sikad Las Vegas” at the River Mountain Loop. This was a successful ride which attracted more than 160 participants. NBC will again host the 2018 “Sikad Las Vegas” on October 13, 2018 on which the proceeds will be given to charitable institution Gawad Kalinga to help the less fortunate in the Philippines.
